Anzac

At the foot of the cathedral, between the quartier Saint-Leu and the Hortillonnages (marshes), the Parc Saint-Pierre offers a beautiful area for walks and games, a stone's throw from the city centre. Structured around the "Promenade des jours", a paved avenue 620 metres long, the gardens offer a variety of atmospheres:

• to the west, the "Labyrinthe" (Maze), with its light paving stones, is a copy of the one at the cathedral.
• the play areas are ideal for kids
• the "Chevelure d’eau" ("Water hair") and the "Bassin aux nymphéas" ("White water lily pond") offer winding paths by the lake
• the "Glacis des ginkgos" ("Slope of Ginkgos") ends this amphitheatre of greenery to the east.

A footbridge under the Beauvillé bridge takes you to the landing stage of the Hortillonnages. Another footbridge to the south crosses the Somme to arrive at the quartier Saint-Leu.
