Anzac

Ten hectares of gardens, pastures and woods surround an XVIIIth century brick and stone "country house". In 1989 Catherine Guévenoux redesigned the park, which had fallen into neglect. Around large ancient trees and the main courtyard, she planted hardy perennials, old rose bushes and hydrangeas.

Catherine Guévenoux pays great attention to colour and has created a series of theme gardens:

• the well-garden contains flowers and shrubs with blue and silver as the dominant colours
• the cloister garden is different shades of mother-of-pearl, thanks to the grasses, arum lilies and white peonies
• the old pond contains hostas, irises, gunneras and sea kale
• Lucie's Orchard is planted with decorative and fruiting apple trees
• a priest's garden has been recreated towards the village church. Along the edges of a paved path, decorative garlic grows next to digitalis, speedwell, coneflowers, columbine and sedums...

Around 30 different areas have been created, each with its own atmosphere and tone.
