Anzac

Le Vimeu has been manufacturing locks, padlocks, bolts and safes since the XVIth century
The tap factory only appeared in 1880.
How did this farming region transform itself into the centre of France's locksmithing industry?
Who were the forerunners of this industry? Housed in a XVIIth century complex, Le Vimeu Industrial Museum retraces this past, displaying unique collections of locks, padlocks, bolts, safes and caskets. Documents, patents, catalogues and post cards are on display.

Reconstruction of workshops from the past:
The Locksmith, The Keysmith, The Foundry, etc…
An exhibition of products manufactured in Le Vimeu, a slide show ends the visit.
We invite you to take a guided tour, which lasts just over an hour.
