Anzac

Born in Nantes in 1828, Jules Verne finally settled in Amiens in 1871. He took part in the life of the city where he was a local councillor. The town of Amiens contains numerous traces of the writer such as the circus that he opened, his statue, his spectacular tomb in the cemetery of the Madeleine, and one of his houses which is now the Jules Verne International Centre. Over 20,000 documents in about 30 languages can be consulted on site. You can also visit the house where the working office of the writer has been reconstructed and there is also a hologram, and a variety of models and objects collected over 20 years by Cécile and Maurice Compère.
